Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the free WebXR games and website provided by ALVAN, a project of Algoy.com, at alvan.algoy.com ("the Service"). By accessing or playing our games, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ALVAN offers browser-based virtual-reality and mixed-reality games that run on compatible headsets such as Meta Quest. The games are provided free of charge, "as is", and may be changed, updated, or discontinued at any time without notice.
2. License to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play our games for your own non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:
- copy, sell, rent, or redistribute the games or their assets except as expressly permitted;
- tamper with, automate, or exploit the games or leaderboards (including submitting falsified scores);
- attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its providers;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
3. Leaderboards & aliases
Our games assign you a random nickname used for leaderboards (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for activity associated with your device. We may moderate, reset, or remove aliases or scores that are offensive, misleading, or obtained by cheating.
4. Health & safety
VR and mixed-reality play involves physical movement and may not be suitable for everyone. Please read our Disclaimer before playing. You play at your own risk.
5. Intellectual property
The ALVAN name, game designs, artwork, and original code are owned by ALVAN / Algoy.com and protected by applicable laws. Games are built using open-source libraries (such as Three.js) under their respective licenses. "Meta", "Quest", and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners; ALVAN is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ALVAN and Algoy.com will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, data loss, or device issues arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Third-party services & links
The Service relies on and may link to third parties (for example your headset browser, Google Analytics, Supabase, and game-store listings). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date above.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
